As most wedding photographers, I started shooting at an early age. At 12 years old I got an Olympus 35mm basic analogic camera as a present and I started going on endless walks, through parks and fields, photographing everything on my way. Nature and photography are inextricably connected for me. My job evolved into something different, but I try and keep that spirit alive. The reason why I became a documentarian and photojournalist (yes, that’s what I do when I am not shooting weddings!) is because I have always cared about the environment and I always felt connected to nature. I take long walks, just outside my house, in natural parks, in the Dolomites. I am also a full time wanderluster and I travel all the time: I lived in Israel, Japan, Norway, Chile, London… I specialize in travel and elopement photography because I am so happy when I find couples who want to explore and document their adventures (like Alyona and Nikita!).
What I do to be eco friendly
My business is eco-friendly and as sustainable as possible. I mostly operate in Venice, and in Venice you can only walk. No cars are involved, so less pollution on my hands. But I also travel a lot outside Italy and planes have a huge impact on the environment. So I have been wondering what I could do to make it better, and I found this small company called Treedom. Treedom is an Italian company that connects farmers in Africa, South America and Italy with people who want to contribute to the global enviroment, companies or individuals. Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, more than 400,000 trees have been planted, bringing environmental, social and financial benefits to local communities. Every tree on Treedom is geo-localized and photographed and has its online page, it can be kept or virtually gifted. So here is my gift to you: for every wedding package acquired, I will plant a couple of trees. (You can choose which ones!). The package is aptly called Love is in the air. I can’t wait to see the forest of love we will build together!
